Kate has 35 years’ experience working in the NHS and then in private practice. She founded Woodfield Physiotherapy in 1993 and, having developed a busy practice with close liaison with GP practices, Consultants and local sports clubs, was able to further expand the practice with Cordelia in 2009 when the practice moved to its present site.
Much of her work involves the treatment of musculo-skeletal conditions including back and neck pain and rehabilitation after joint surgery. She has spent many years working with local rugby, rowing, running and golf clubs and has worked with sportsmen and women at all levels from club to international, in sports as diverse as dressage and sailing. She works with coaches and trainers to facilitate players’ return to full fitness and to prevent injury recurrence.
Kate pursued further education in 1997 and gained an MSc in Sports Medicine and Rehabilitation. She has also completed postgraduate training in matwork Pilates and in Acupuncture which she uses where appropriate to complement physiotherapy techniques. She has completed training in advanced level vestibular assessment and rehabilitation and can perform Epley and Semont manoeuvres.
Kate achieved the Quality Assured Practitioner status in 2017 from Physio First, the UK’s leading organisation for private physiotherapists.
