Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy

At Woodfield Physiotherapy we believe it is important to look at the body as a “whole”. A thorough initial assessment will take into account previous medical history, work and lifestyle. Along with a physical assessment this will enable us to devise a tailored treatment program, recovery time or onward referral if required.

During your assessment we may use video analysis and biomechanical assessment to assist our diagnosis.

We use a ‘hands-on’ approach to help alleviate pain, restore joint movement and function and enable you to return to everyday activities and sport as quickly as possible.

The range of conditions treated at the clinic include:

  • Back, neck and shoulder pain
  • Sports injuries
  • Whiplash
  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Muscle and postural imbalance
  • Headaches
  • Arthritic pain
  • Work-related injuries
  • Post-surgery rehabilitation
  • Continence and pelvic dysfunction

Treatment may include a variety of techniques including:

  • Joint mobilisation or manipulation
  • Soft tissue massage
  • Core stability strengthening
  • Exercise-based rehabilitation programme
  • Electrotherapy (Ultrasound)
  • Acupuncture
  • TENS for pain relief
  • Education and explanation to help you understand how your
problem occurred and how to prevent recurrence.
  • Strapping/taping/braces
The clinic has links with most GP practices in the area and can
arrange MRI scans and specialist Consultant referrals if necessary
    and appropriate.

We also offer Domicilary vistis for those needing Physiotherapy at home.
